Verse:
Don’t ever 2nd guess your will to stay alive,
Even when you can’t pay the bills and their piling up high.
One thing you can count on, and that’s for sure
If you don’t like the weather, it’s gonna change real soon.
Chorus:
Bow your head and thank your maker
For even in the hardest rains
The sun is always up there shining
Though you can’t see it through your pane.
It may break your heart, in a thousand little pieces now
Feels like you must dig your own grave
But it’s stillness and the unexpected
That brings the mystery close again.
That brings the mystery close again
Like a Dervish spinning in silence
Round and round and round you spin
And when you stop, you can start all over again.
Bridge:
Hard to know what the future holds,
But that’s always been so true
Always been so true
For me and for you
Hard to know what the future holds,
But I hope I’m holding you,
Always been so true
For me and for you.
Verse 2:
These days it seems like the, world is coming unglued
Can’t get there from here, even if you’re wanting to
I wouldn’t trade you in for a room full of gold
Cause that would make me, just about the biggest, fool in the world.
Chorus:
Bow your head, and thank your maker
For even in the hardest rains
The sun is always up there shining
Though you can’t see it through your pane.
It may break your heart, in a thousand little pieces now
Feels like you must dig your own grave
Bu it’s stillness and the unexpected
That brings the mystery close again.
That brings the mystery close again
Like standing in a forest in a pouring rain
Round and round and round you spin
And when you stop, you feel the Zen grin.
Bridge:
Hard to know what the future holds,
But that’s always been so true
Always been so true
For me and for you
Hard to know what the future holds,
But I hope I’m holding you,
Always been so true
For me and for you.

Chuck LeMonds’ music is a kind of Country Soul gumbo of blues, folk, funk and country with poetic lyrics that call to be
heard. In times like these, the music and songwriting of Chuck LeMonds has the effect of a soothing balsam for the soul, or that of a plow turning over fresh soil in a field waiting to be planted in spring....more
